We are back!!

We are finally getting around to ressureccting the blog.  Things have been a little busy around here since Ethan has arrived.  This will be the place to come for all things Ethan, stories, pictues, and video.  Now that we are finding our rhythm I will do my best to update at least weekly.  Enjoy watching us grow!

The last month has gone by in whirlwind.  But, we are learning his likes and dislikes a little more everyday.  He changes so much everyday.  And watching him stretch and wiggle may be the cutest thing I have ever seen.  We have the best family that has been around often to help us out when we need it.

To catch everyone up of the past 5 weeks:
We survived a bout of jaundice the first week with his first tanning bed.  While it was a rough day for me, he slept through most of it and handled it like a champ.  He is a tough little guy.  And lucky for me, Robert was able to stay home for the first 2 weeks.  I would not have survived without him here.  The rest of the month has been growth spurts and lots of visitors and of course is first photoshoot (see the link below).

This week Ethan is 5 weeks old!  He has been a very busy boy.  He had a lot of visitors over the weekend.  Derek, Sarah, and Grant came to meet him and have breakfast on Saturday.  We got a taste of what the next year has to offer us.  Later, we went to a pool party for Meggs' birthday to get some relief from this record-breaking heat.  While the rest of the crew stayed in the pool  for the afternoon, we opted to stay in the a/c to stay cool.  But, we had a great time anyway spending time with the JC Crew.

I can't believe how fast he is growing.  He is getting so big.  As of his one month check up last week, he weighs 10 lbs, 5 oz.  That is a big jump from the 7'11" that he started with.  He is already starting to outgrow his newborn clothes.  He is becoming more alert each day.  He has great neck strength already.  He can hold his head up for a few minutes when we have him on his tummy.  He is starting to sleep a little longer through the night.  We are up to 6 hours most nights.  It is so much fun watching him grow and take in the world around him.  Robert eventually had to go back to work, but rushes home every night to see him.  We are loving every second of watching our June Bug grow!!  We hope you do too!
