Howdy Folks

Friday we ventured to Dallas for the State Fair. It was a warm and busy day. This is the first year that Ethan started to get pure enjoyment from the event. We started the day out checking out the Chevy Ride and Drive. Robert got to drive the new Corvette and Ethan got to sit in a bunch of cars. He even got a stamp on his hand he was pretty proud of.

Next we went over to the Kidway to ride some rides. I wasn't sure how he was going to do with them. It was his first year being tall/old enough to ride anything. The first thing he picked was a tractor ride, that's what he called it anyway. He was excited to ride at first, even though he had to ride by himself. The longer they took to start the ride more he thought about it and the louder the other riders were honking those horns. He eventually started crying but wanted to stay on.

No smiles and all nerves

After that he wanted to ride the spinning bears with Dad.

After the rides and lunch we went over to the car show. Brady and I sat and played for almost an hour while the other two were in paradise.

There was a lot of walking around the rest of the day.

Taking a little break

Mom, do they make these vibrating beds in crib size?

Ethan and I also went to check out the animals too.

Our last stop of the day was to play a few games.

He had such a great day. We had to force him to leave. Baby brother was getting hot and we were all worn out after 6 hours of fun. We had one happy fair-goer. These two slept the entire way home.

Until next year, Big Tex.
