Happy Birthday Pop

Saturday, we had a small get together at my parents house to celebrate Pop. He is 86 years young today. The cake and ice cream was enjoyed by all. Everyone enjoyed getting to spend some time with the family. It was Brady's first time meeting some of the family.

Happy Birthday, Pop! We all love you very much!

July 4th Weekend

This weekend was a ton of fun. On Friday, we enjoyed having Robert off for the holiday. We had a fun day at the neighborhood pool with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Chris, Aunt Diana, and Emma. I didn't get any actual pool time because someone had to stay and hangout in the shade with Brady. I was surprised to see he stayed awake the entire time we were at the pool. I ended up taking Brady home to take a nap while everyone else stayed to play.

After we all had a nap we played outside a little and then went over to the duck pond to watch the local fireworks. This was the first fireworks display for both boys.

Saturday, I took the boys to spend some more time at the pool at Gaga's house.

It was a long, fun weekend in the sun. So glad the weather cooperated with us for the weekend. And here is our little patriot showing America some love.

Brady is 1 month old!

Somehow a month has passed since we became four. We are finding our groove slowly but, surely. Monday marked one month old.

At one month Brady weighs 10 lbs 6 oz (70th percentile) is 22 inches long (70th percentile), and head circumference is 15 1/2 (75th percentile). He is sleeping a five hour stretch and then a four hour stretch through the night. He has slept most of his first month. He has a had a little bit more awake periods over the past few days. We are all still learning one another and what makes him happy and comfortable. The boy loves to eat and is packing on the pounds.  I am really hoping he starts stretching his feedings soon. We have had a few coos here and there, not many though. He is pretty smilely when he sleeps and we have seen a few when he's awake. Monday, he actually giggled in his sleep. I don't know what the boy dreams about but, it must be fun. I think we will really start to see more over the next month, as he becomes more aware of his surroundings.

He has a fantastic, yet invasive, big brother. We frequently hear "I love you" and "I'm glad you're here" from him. It is so heartwarming to see him with him, until he wakes him up while I am in the middle of doing something. No complaints though. And, I think I will have to do the monthly photo during Ethan's naptime or when Robert is home.

Here are some of my favorites from our little photo session. And a little bit of tummy time.

I love these boys!

For comparison:
Ethan's weight at 1 month was 10 lbs, 5 oz
Height was 21.5 inches
